On Wednesday, Bollywood Hungama had a fun chat with Saif Ali Khan at the trailer launch of his upcoming film Kaalakaandi where he talked about everything from films, to his Netflix show to his daughter's debut film.

"Kaalakaandi" releases on 12th January 2018. We have already had a chance to see a full-fledged teaser of the film in earlier this year in July. "I am very confident that she will be very good". I think they would have wanted to see more food, working in the NY kitchen or the high pressure job. I don't think it was even publicised correct. I want to see it properly.

When asked whether he liked Sara Ali Khan's first look from Kedarnath alongside the picturesque location, Saif Ali Khan said, "I will wait". The makers of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati haven't decided on the new release date yet. Karni Sena had warned Bhansali that if the film releases, theatres will be vandalised. After the release date of Padmavati was deferred, Kapil Sharma's Firangi was also postponed by a week and Richa Chadha's Fukrey Returns was pulled ahead to release on 8 December. Recently, we saw Secret Superstar and Golmaal Again releasing on the same day and both films did well. Admitting that it "bothers" him when his films don't fare well, the actor says his innate self-confidence keeps him going during such times. Personally, I feel it's a good time to have films releasing alongside one another.

He was quick to add, "But filmmakers are wary about it and you need to take that into consideration".

Kaalakaandi will also feature Sobhita Dhulipala and Kunaal Roy Kapur.
