A 37-year-old Jamestown man has been arrested following a domestic dispute where he allegedly set a woman on fire.

Her husband, Luis Castro-Mojica, 37, was taken into custody and charged with assault.

Authorities went to Thayer St. around 11:40 p.m. and found a 27-year-old woman with severe burns to her face, head and torso. She was taken to UPMC WCA Chautauqua and then immediately air lifted to ECMC in Buffalo. The victim is reported to be in critical condition.

Police did not say what was doused on the woman prior to being burned.

Castro-Mojica, who was taken into custody Tuesday night, had been wanted by Jamestown police on three warrants stemming from a domestic incident in September.

Samuelson said the Chautauqua County District Attorney's Office was notified and is now working with JPD.

Additional charges were expected to be filed against Castro-Mojica.
