A special weather statement has been issued for the entire island of Newfoundland for Friday

Tonight, clouds increase with light rain and snow (Adirondacks) showers kicking off after midnight over northern NY.

The West Coast is bracing for yet another round of storms that will bring heavy winds, rain and snow to the region over the next week.

Gusty winds are expected early Thursday with rain changing to snow in the valleys as cooler air settled in behind the front on Thursday, but accumulations are expected to be light. Lows in the mid 30's. Factor that in with increasing cloud cover, areas that do see fog in the morning will most likely have grey skies through out the day.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny with highs near 50. The wind picks up Wednesday night into Thursday with gusts exceeding 20-30 miles per hour from the south. Now as more information comes in, this system has been weakening over time, so we are not expecting a lot of snow, however, by Thursday night and Friday morning many passes will be snow covered leading to hard travel conditions. The brunt of the storm will hit Wednesday night. Parts of the state could also experience wind gusts up to 50 miles per hour. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
