"This is how democracy works", he said, adding, "Government runs as per the Constitution and the law should always be above everything else".

The prime minister announced a 10-year package for development of all areas of Balochistan, with an aim to bring them at par with the rest of the country in terms of provision of basic facilities.

Fifty percent of special developmental package would be provided by the provincial government while remaining fifty percent by federal government.

Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Tuesday arrived in Quetta on a day-long visit to chair a number of important meetings relating to law and order situation and development projects.

The Prime Minister said that the sacrifices rendered by security forces for restoration of peace in Balochistan would not be allowed to go waste.

Chairing another meeting on Balochistan's development projects in Quetta on Tuesday, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said socio-economic development of the people of Balochistan is the priority of the federal government.

The meeting offered prayers for the martyrs of terrorist incident that occurred recently in Quetta.

Secretary Home Balochistan presented detailed briefing on law and order.

The premier will meet Balochistan Governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai and Chief Minister Sanaullah Khan Zehri to discuss law and order situation of the province and progress on the ongoing development projects there.

Governor, CM Balochistan, Federal Minister SAFRON, National Security Advisor, Commander Southern Command, IGs FC, Home Minister Balochistan, Chief Secretary Balochistan, IG Police and other senior officials attended.
