ISIS, in a 10-minute audio clip released in Malayalam, said that India will witness Las Vegas-type attacks on crowds assimilating for popular festivals like Kumbh Mela and Thrissur Pooram in the country, according to media reports. The audio message in Malyalam is said to be from Rashid Abdullah, the leader of the Kasargod IS module, and was sent through "Telegram" app. "Ram trucks into melas of Hindus, Thrissur Pooram, they have Maha Kumbh mela, all stupid things happen at these gatherings", Rasheed said in the tape.

Officials were reported to be analyzing the message.

The clip also asks Muslims to go for "Hijrah" (migrate) from "Darul Kufr" (house of non-believers) to Darul Islam (house of believers).

"You are intelligent people, many of you have had higher education, you know how to implement it. Use your intelligence to kill kafirs, kill them, poison their food, poison all of their water. You can even use a knife, rifle or pistols to shoot them down like one of our friends did in US", the voice can be heard saying. Here at least one of us must try to derail a train or use a knife in an attack, the clip also says. Islamic State Mujahideen are doing it in several parts of the world.

One of the supporters killed many at a music concert. Further, it says that if it not possible to do that, then people must offer financial assistance to Daulatul Islam and the Islamic State.

According to the Kerala Police, about 100 people from the state are suspected to have joined the Islamic State.

Rashid has been chargesheeted by the NIA under IPC sections 120B r/w 125 and Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) Sections 38,39 and 40. An Interpol Red Notice has also been issued against him.
