Former Arsenal star Ian Wright believes that Harry Kane could go on to make history and break Alan Shearer's Premier League record.

Despite the England striker playing for Arsenal's fierce rivals, Wright has been raving his goal scoring talents, and says he believes Shearer's record of 260 Premier League strikes is under serious threat from the Tottenham forward.

"Speaking on the Premier League's official website, he said: "(Kane's) literally a monster, a goal monster, he wants to score every single attempt he has on goal.

Kane has established himself as one of the World's best strikers after netting over 20 goals during each of the last three seasons.

Parker, who now works as Spurs' Under-18 coach, has also been taken by the progress of midfielder Harry Winks, saying: "I also think Harry Winks has a bright future".

Last month, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola referred to Tottenham as the "Harry Kane team" when assessing their title rivals but Bassong offered a different view.

Tottenham are now third in the league standings, trailing second-placed Manchester United on goal difference and eight points behind leaders Manchester City.

"The defenders have a job that is just as important, you're just not under the light as much, what matters the most is the team".
