This is every Walking Dead enthusiast's biggest dream come true. Details on Dillahunt's character are being kept secret as of right now, but we expect specifics to emerge after AMC finally announces a release date for the upcoming season. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Raising Hope star has joined season four of Fear the Walking Dead.

In addition to The Mindy Project, Dillahunt can also be seen in Fox's X-Men spin-off show The Gifted as well as the TBS comedy anthology The Guest Book. The actor campaigned in November 2015 to land the role of thevillain Negan on the flagship series.

A spinoff of The Walking Dead, the action drama unfolds in Los Angeles and Mexico and follows a dysfunctional group who must band together in the face of the coming Zombie Apocalypse. "Thank you. If not Negan, then something else someday", Dillahunt wrote on Twitter at the time.

Garret Dillahunt has joined the cast of Robert Kirkman's prequel series as a regular for its forthcoming season. Some sources suggest that Fear the Walking Dead will shift its filming location as well, moving to Texas for season four in response to the show's new villain (Ray McKinnon) stating in the season three finale that he's taking off to "what's left of Houston" with Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey).

Dillahunt joins Fear the Walking Dead at a turning point in its evolution.
