Detective Emily Shaw of the Leon County Sheriff's Office in Tallahassee wasn't afraid when it came to rescuing a 9-foot anaconda.

She successfully grabs the anaconda by the tail with her hands, as the giant snake wraps its tail around her arm while she's dragging it across the ground.

It's no surprise Shaw was the first detective the Florida based Sheriff department called upon as she actually has her own fundraiser benefiting the Leon County Humane Society.

Officials say Shaw had experience handling exotic snakes, so she was the right person for the call. "Watch as she captures what is now confirmed as a 9 foot long Yellow Anaconda, found on the east side of Leon County, near Louvinia Drive", the message read.

They believe that it was someone's pet that was either released or escaped. Shaw calmly confronted the snake, picked it up and maneuvered it into a duffel bag. They reminded pet owners to be responsible and make sure cages are always locked and if they no longer want their pet to contact the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and DO NOT release it into the wild.
