Unreleased Whitney Houston Recordings to Debut in Honor of 'The Bodyguard's 25th Anniversary

In honor of the 25th anniversary of the iconic film The Bodyguard, Legacy Recordings, Warner Bros.

Previously unreleased live recordings by Whitney Houston and alternate takes from the sessions for her blockbuster hit soundtrack album to the film "The Bodyguard" will make up a new collection to be released November 17. It includes an alternate mix of the hit single from the film, "I Will Always Love You" (a cover of the Dolly Parton song), as well as live performances from Houston's 1993-'95 The Bodyguard tour, including a version of the song "Run to You" that she rarely performed.

Unreleased Whitney Houston recordings will be made public as part of a brand new soundtrack to mark the 25th anniversary of "The Bodyguard".

On Nov. 4, Fontainebleau Miami Beach, which served as a backdrop for much of the 1992 blockbuster, where Houston performed "I Have Nothing" and "I Will Always Love You", will celebrate with an invite-only listening party and movie screening, as well as special activities throughout the resort. Fans will also be treated to the film and live versions of faves "I Will Always Love You", "I Have Nothing" and "Queen of the Night".

Written by Lawrence Kasdan (The Big Chill, Silverado, The Accidental Tourist, The Empire Strikes Back), and directed by Mick Jackson (L.A. Story, Volcano) The Bodyguard stars Costner as a former Secret Service Agent-turned-bodyguard who is hired to protect Houston's character, a music star, from an unknown stalker. The film also will be available on DVD and Blu-ray. The first, "I Have Nothing", is one of two Oscar nominated songs from the movie and the other, "I Will Always Love You" is one of the best-selling singles of all time.
