Josh Windass admitted to Rangers' official website this week that manager Pedro Caixinha shouts at him a lot for shunning his defensive responsibilities.

But denying that claim, Wright said: "What he's talking about in terms of us getting their team last season, is just someone that's paranoid".

St Johnstone manager Tommy Wright has branded Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha "paranoid" over claims his team was leaked to the Perth side last season.

Wright says that did not happen and accused Caixinha of a lack of respect.

"We were more focused on the details this week because we make the analysis that we can not concede so many goals and concede goals the way we are conceding them", the Portuguese said.

If this is evident in Friday's trip to St Johnstone then Caixinha has little choice but to drop him the following week.

"But I'm sure it might happen".

"He obviously has problems, he says there's a spy in the camp, and it looks like he has a spy in our camp to be able to say we changed training, but that's duff information because it never happened".

"The comments are wrong and untrue about another manager at another club and maybe someone should look into that because he has no proof".

Both sides go into the match level on points in the Friday night battle between third and fourth in the table.

"His mind games are working, he's enrolled in some university course in Portugal so they must be telling him that's how they deal with things", Wright added.

"Because when you tell untruths about another manager, that's not showing respect, and really that should be his focus".

"They have had a good start to the season, they are a tough team to play. Our motivation has always been to win the game".
