Bromance: Former President Barack Obama travelled to Toronto to support Prince Harry's Invictus Games last month.

Prince Harry is set to attend the inaugural Obama Foundation Summit in Chicago on Halloween, Kensington Palace announced Thursday.

"His Royal Highness will attend the Summit at the invitation of former US President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama,"reads a press release from the Palace".

Harry has developed a firm friendship with the Obamas and has agreed to take part in the event being held on October 31 in Chicago.

Obama Foundation CEO David Simas describes the summit as a platform for worldwide leaders to "share ideas about how to inspire and equip communities with the tools to make positive change".

Harry will use the conversation in part to highlight the success of the Full Effect project he established in St. Anne's, Nottingham that is supported by The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry.

While it's true that the USA fought a war to be rid of Harry's family, bygones are bygones and Harry has in recent years shed his reputation for gaffes and playboy behavior, particularly through his work with the Invictus Games for disabled servicemen and women.

Obama paid a visit to Kensington Palace in May to see the prince.

Harry, as well as Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, are said to have a particularly close relationship with the Obamas.
