Now you can say, "Alexa, what's my flash briefing?" and you will hear that day's episode of "The Daily". And, indeed, that probably plays a role.

But both Clinton and the DNC are doing it wrong. During the investigation, police obtained an audio recording of Weinstein in which he acknowledged that he had groped Gutierrez, the magazine said.

Manhattan's district attorney, Cyrus Vance Jr., declined to file charges against Weinstein in 2015 after the Italian model Ambra Battilana Gutierrez said Weinstein assaulted her, The New Yorker reported on Tuesday. "The final area is whether the company has any liability, and I think it's clear based on recent information that there will be lawsuits not only against Weinstein but against his company as well".

"We know this stuff goes on in the world".

But since then the company, like many other major Hollywood studios, has fallen into dire financial straits (paywall).

Seydoux said her greatest frustration is that Weinstein was able to get away with his alleged misconduct for years, before The New York Times and the New Yorker published shocking exposés. The video was captured by followers who posted it to social media. An old, largely irrelevant man, he was newly vulnerable to allegations.

Weinstein's downfall has been swift since the New York Times article exposed decades of alleged sexual abuse by Weinstein. For instance, they might want to discuss why any of their other Hollywood pals didn't warn them about Weinstein when the Obamas allowed Malia to intern with him. But in 2017, he apparently is no longer worth protecting. Two of the three groups it chose to donate to - Emily's List and Emerge America - expressly support Democratic candidates. Since the first New York Times story broke, Weinstein lost lawyers Lisa Bloom and Lanny Davis. One of them, indeed, is the president of the United States. "This morning, I just feel absolutely sick to my stomach". For some of them, at least, the accusations may not be true.

Léa Seydoux says Harvey Weinstein lunged at her and tried to kiss her.

It shouldn't be this way. The behavior described by women coming forward cannot be tolerated.

In a statement to ET, Weinstein's lawyer, Charles J. Harder, called the report "saturated with false and defamatory statements".

Other Democrats have sounded similar notes, with Rep. Nancy Pelosi of California, the minority leader, saying Tuesday that Weinstein's "despicable actions violate every standard of acceptable behavior". His colleagues did nothing to remove him.
