The folks at Netflix are kicking off the season two countdown with a new trailer that will be released on Friday the 13th.

Appropriately enough, the announcement was made through a short video that emulates the trailer for the original Friday the 13th film.

"On Friday the 13th, watch the final trailer". The video features brand new footage that is accompanied by a countdown starting from 1 and concluding with 13.

At the end of season 1, Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) sacrificed herself to save Mike, Dustin, and Lucas from the Demogorgon while Will Byers was being rescued by his mom, Joyce, and Sheriff Hopper from the Upside Down.

Stranger Things has never shied away from weird happenings, but as fans eagerly await the premiere of the second season it's very safe to say that the show's official teasers are getting more than a little. well, strange. Newcomers include Sean Astin, Paul Reiser, Brett Gelman, Dacre Montgomery, Linnea Berthelsen, and Sadie Sink. All the cool kids are doing it, so please enjoy the attractive key art the team at Stranger Things and Netflix provided.

However, the Duffer Brothers, writers of "Stranger Things", have warned fans that the titles may still change.

The new season premieres on Netflix on October 27, so we'll just have to wait until then to see if the last three episode titles are the original names, or something completely different.

Now that we've seen the teaser, the wait is going to be even more arduous.

Despite previous reports that Netflix's hit retro-themed supernatural series Stranger Things would likely wrap up after four seasons, executive producer Shawn Levy has high hopes that the show will continue to live on beyond that point.
