'I was sleeping one night on location and I woke up and he was filming me. "I've had plenty of things happen to me whether it be trying on a dress for prom at some clothing store, to a director being inappropriate, to a guy walking down the street where you don't think, 'Oh well, that wasn't actually sexual assault - this just just, like, grabbed my butt'". After months of enduring harassment, she was summoned by the producers.

When they eventually called her in for a meeting telling her "we need to talk", she presumed the producers had finally made a decision to address her complaint.

The 30-year-old actress then got her lawyer involved, which resulted in the make-up artist being let go from the project.

"Our unit production manager wrote him a letter of recommendation because nobody wanted that there should be bad blood", explained Lively.

Blake Lively is opening up about her own experiences with sexual harassment after several female celebrities such as Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie came forward following allegations of sexual misconduct against Harvey Weinstein.

The actress has never worked with Weinstein in a professional capacity, but has been friends with the movie mogul in the past and posed for pictures with him at the 2017 Time 100 Gala in April.

"That was never my experience with Harvey in any way whatsoever, and I think that if people heard these stories... The No. 1 thing that can happen is that people who share their stories, people have to listen to them and trust them, and people have to take it seriously". This isn't a single incident.

In a call to action, The Shallows star noted, "It's important that women are furious right now".
