Who abandoned this dying dog in the rain outside the Calgary Humane Society? .

The puppy was alive but in need of critical medical help when found, according to the CHS, and they believe the pup had been in the dumpster for at least 48 hours.

"Regardless of the source of this dog's catastrophic injuries, discarding this visibly injured puppy in a dumpster was a callous criminal act", animal cruelty investigator Brad Nichols said in a release.

The person who abandoned the injured dog is thought to have been in the area between October 8 and October 10.

Veterinarians euthanized this puppy after it was found in a Calgary dumpster.

The puppy is described as a white, mixed-breed - possibly a Labrador/Australian Cattle dog cross - with faint grey spots, and about eight to 10 weeks old. "This puppy deserves justice and we hope the public can help us serve just that by providing information toward the identity of the individual responsible". He's just a puppy, under a year old, and was brought to us by a gentleman who saw something terrible.
