Ibrahimovic, now 36, joined United last summer on a free transfer, following the expiration of his deal with Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain.

Ibrahimovic has reintegrated with the rest of the Manchester United squad but is not expected to be match-fit for several weeks.

The Red Devils are gearing up for a return to Premier League action away to rivals Liverpool on Saturday, and Jose Mourinho will be desperate for a win.

Ibrahimovic ruptured his anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments during United's semi-final clash against Anderlecht and was unexpected to be out until the new year, with some fearing that the Swede may even have to retire as a result of the injury.

According to the Daily Mirror, Ibrahimovic has now set a date to return to the Manchester United team when the Red Devils make the long trip to Arsenal on 2 December.

Liverpool, on the other hand, will be looking to put a dismal recent run of form behind them, with Jurgen Klopp's men having managed just 1 win from their last 7 fixtures.
