It would grant a conditional green card to all current DACA recipients, unless they have voided the terms of their permits, and create a system for similar young undocumented immigrants brought to the USA as children to also obtain conditional green cards.

The letter, signed by UC President Janet Napolitano and all 10 UC chancellors, strongly urges DACA recipients whose permits are set to expire between September 5, 2017, and March 5, 2018, to apply for a two-year renewal.

By his thoughtless action, President Trump could severely damage the American economy.

There are Christian leaders who are members of groups like the Evangelical Immigration Table who have written letters to Trump, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, and House Speaker Paul Ryan, asking them to provide protection to Dreamers while Congress works to meet the president's deadline.

But as he visited Florida yesterday to survey the damage of Hurricane Irma the president said: "We're working on a plan for the Dreamers".

Ann Coulter, the prominent conservative author of the book "In Trump We Trust", wrote: "At this point, who DOESN'T want Trump impeached?" And in my other classes, it just went unspoken Theres a lack of voice for DACA recipients, [because] for all we know we have a DACA recipient sitting in class, and hes having a breakdown or trying to figure out his future, and theres no one speaking about it.

"One of the messages we wanted to convey is that they're in our community and they are us", said Paul Guerrero, a co-organizer.

And President Donald Trump, who appeared close to a deal with Democratic leaders over DACA, said: "We're not looking at citizenship". "I don't really want to put my mind there yet, because I still have hope that something will come out of this".

Garaufis, who's scheduled to hear the DACA suit against the Trump administration brought by Eric Schneiderman and 15 other attorneys general, also said that he'd prefer to see the issue hammered out in the legislature rather than by a judge. He added, "I think we're going to rock it in terms of GDP".

Democratic Sen. Nancy Pelosi, of California, said she thought after the meeting that the president supported the DREAM Act, which calls for a path to citizenship. These are children whose parents brought them to this country illegally. "If March 5th, they have nothing, then President Trump has said, 'We will look March 5th.' If nothing has happened with Congress, he will look at this again". In July, I introduced the most recent version of the Dream Act with my friend Lindsey Graham, Republican of SC.

"I know the people that were strong Trump supporters, that were on his bandwagon early on", said Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa.
