New Putney Bridge push jogger image released by police

Police have released another CCTV image of a jogger who pushed a woman in front of a bus on a London bridge earlier this year as they continue to attempt to work out who he is.

An investigation was launched in May after a 33-year-old woman was pushed into the road by a jogger as she walked across Putney Bridge in London. About 15 minutes after the incident, the jogger came back the other way across the bridge towards Fulham. The victim tried to speak to him but he did not acknowledge her and carried on jogging towards the north side of the river.

Two men were previously arrested in connection with the incident but both were released without charge.

'We are grateful to those who have assisted so far.

Footage of the incident appeared to show the jogger, who was described as a white man in his 30s with brown eyes and short brown hair, pushing the woman off the pavement and into the path of the Number 430 London bus. "However, I am also appealing for anyone who has given just a name to contact police or Crimestoppers again with as much information as possible so we can fully follow up those lines of enquiry".

Investigating officer Sergeant Mat Knowles said: 'It was only due to the superb quick reactions of the bus driver that she was not hit by the vehicle'.

He was wearing a light grey T-shirt and dark blue shorts.
