The Egypt worldwide defender had a spectacular start with West Brom as he scored the victor on his debut and was named Man of the Match in their league opener against Bournemouth on Saturday after producing a stellar defensive performance.

West Bromwich Albion Head Coach Tony Pulis has signed a contract extension, keeping him at the Hawthorns until 2019.

Pulis has been in charge of West Brom since January 2015 following the departure of Alan Irvine.

The 26-year-old defender joined the Premier League side on a one-year loan deal from Egyptian giants al Ahly during the summer transfer window.

"I watched two games in the Africa Cup of Nations".

"I believe that there's a tremendous talent pool in there and if that talent can not be realised immediately within our own ranks it is vital we get them out into league football to continue their development and education". We had the most shots on goal and the most corners.

But even though Pulis' side won the match, the Welshman wants plenty more additions to his squad and cited the fact the club now have only 17 senior players.

"I think when you come here there's a sort of predictability about what kind of game you'll face". He's brought a lot of energy to the football club and it looks like he's going to score.

The Argentina global went close again early in the second period with a header into the side-netting as the Baggies continued to pose a threat from dead balls.

"The sustained success of West Brom in the Premier League, makes them a great fit for 12BET, who have a long-standing heritage as a recognisable Premier League brand", 12BET spokesman Rory Anderson said.
