Guardians ready for Destiny 2 PVP

While Destiny 2 is set to have plenty of tie-in promotions like Bungie's collaboration with Pop-Tarts to dole out XP boosts to Guardians willing to buy boxes of the confectionery pastry delights, as one should expect, the sequel will contain plenty of content all its own.

Competitive: Matchmaking takes more time to introduce you to players that are closer to you in skill with a good connection.

It should be noted that these specs can change from the beta to the full game, when Destiny 2 eventually releases on PC on October.

"As a part of our security efforts, we have designed Destiny 2 for PC to resist all attempts from external applications to insert code into the game client", Bungie said.

Destiny 2 fans planning on jumping into the game's PC beta don't have long to wait before they can sink their teeth in. For example, the winning score in Control has been bumped up to 100 from the previous 75 to allow more time for the players to play the game and use their abilities, while the Mercy rule has been tuned to trigger less often. Bungie will also improve skill calculation in Countdown to better show how players will perform against their opponents. The console beta was held back in mid July, giving Bungie plenty of feedback on their networking technology, as well as player response on gameplay changes and tweaks, but now the developer has outlined what adjustments have been made since then, and in-turn will be live in the PC beta.

Sandbox Designer Josh Hamrick has also offered a list of tweaks that have been made in light of the console beta; mostly glitch fixes to tackle infinite Supers, infinite grenades and the lovely Warlock Glide glitch.

As previously reported, the Destiny 2 beta features all of the content of the PS4 and Xbox One beta, including the Homecoming story mission and Inverted Spire Strike. In addition, the Warlock has been fixed to have the same melee range as other classes. "We agree it was taking a bit too long to cook up a Super". It does include some tweaks from the console beta plus a new multiplayer map.

TWEAKED: Increased Power Ammo drops in PvE This is something we had felt internally and have been slowly tuning up over the last several weeks.

If you want to participate in the Destiny 2 PC beta, you can preorder the game from Bungie or participating retailers to join during the early access period on August 28th.

Power Ammo will be found more regularly, and can also be farmed from yellow bar enemies. The PC Beta will start on August 29.
