Google has introduced the flash option in its Camera app enabling users enable the flash while taking their selfie. These features are part of the 4.4 version of the Google Camera so if you aren't sure if the update has been applied, as it could have happened automatically if you have this setting enabled, then all you will need to do is check the version number to be sure.

Wrap yourself in a blanket of beige. Contrary to the previous setup, users will now be able to clearly see whether they have their camera setup to take photos or videos and will be able to switch between the two by selecting the large icons that now flank the shutter button. The goal is to brighten your selfie with a warm color rather than cold flash of bright white, though it doesn't seem to have automatic white-balancing like the iPhone's camera.

Those that like to zoom in while taking a photo will appreciate the newly added double tap to zoom feature that will ramp up the zoom by 50% in an instant. As noted by Google, the latest version is created to work on recent Nexus and Pixel devices running Android 7.1.1 and above, The Verge reported.
