WhatsApp Beta for iPhone supports 'in-app' playback of YouTube videos

As of now if one wants to watch a video through WhatsApp, it automatically opens YouTube app, so users can view YouTube video. Yeah well, watching videos on WhatsApp can get pretty inconvenient at times as the social messaging app doesn't support YouTube videos yet. As per the WABetainfo report, you can pinch on the Picture in Picture mode in order to expand it, or you can open the video in a new WhatsApp section to view it in full-screen mode.

WhatsApp is one such messaging platform, the developer of which releases new updates quite frequently. Users will be able to play the videos in Youtube in a picture in picture window. And in case, the video is causing any hindrance to the proper reading of the text message, the user can hide the picture in picture mode for the time being.

Probably, the most important information is that this feature is actually compatible with iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S+, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus only, due to the good screen size. To avail that facility you need to swipe the video to the right. This feature is not available ti the public as it is now in testing phase.

However, it is the users of Apple devices who have come across this new feature.

The news arrives via WABetaInfo, which claims that WhatsApp is now testing the feature with a small number of users on iOS devices.

The WhatsApp version 2.17.40 also receives Albums which allows user to select multiple photos at once.

We can expect that WhatsApp will launch this feature soon unless they find any problem with the new feature.
