Report Rockets add F Mbah a Moute

Los Angeles Clippers forward Luc Mbah a Moute has agreed to a one-year, veteran's minimum deal with the Houston Rockets, where he will join ex-teammate Chris Paul, according to a report from ESPN.

Mbah a Moute largely served as a starting forward for the Clippers, although he averaged just 17 minutes a night in his first season and 22.3 in 2016-17. He declined a $2.3 million player option for the 2017-18 season to hit free agency this summer.

He's never been a scorer, averaging just 6.1 points per game last season, but he shot an efficient 50.5 percent from the field and stretched his offensive game beyond the three-point line with a career-best 39.1 percent mark from deep.

Mbah a Moute's strength is as a defender because he can guard small forwards on the perimeter or power forwards in the low post.
