Oscar and Grammy victor A.R. Rahman is a gift to India and the world, said Bollywood actor Dia Mirza, who is here to attend the 18th edition of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards.

While talking to the media here, the 50-year-old music composer said, "I think it was kind for IIFA to invite me and celebrate my 25 years". I loved performing, even though it was raining. "I am very proud of IIFA and the fact that we travel to different parts of the world and we get an opportunity to meet people and our fans", she told ANI.

As we speak the stars have already started arriving at the MetLife stadium and we are sure this is going to be one hell of a show which NY won't forget soon.

An ecstatic Rahman, was recorded saying "I try my best, love how people have supported and loved me all these years". "I'm grateful to all of them".

IIFA Rocks celebrated 25 years of the musical genius A. R. Rahman in the industry with a mesmerising 90-minute performance alongside a first time medley by Hariharan, Kailash Kher, Mika Singh, Mohit Chauhan, Jonita Gandhi, Neeti Mohan, Javed Ali, Kamaal Khan and Haricharan Seshadri among others.

The rains acted as a dampener as the organisers had to cancel the green carpet ahead of the IIFA rocks, but our superstars of the music world are more than prepared to enthral the audience who will be witnessing the best of Indian music live in NY.

Adding to the extensive list of IIFA Rocks lineup, Aditi Rao Hydari captivated the audiences with her powerhouse performance at the IIFA Rocks Stage.
