New 'EX' fighting game from Arika showcased at EVO 2017

The game doesn't have an official title yet, but it includes characters from the Street Fighter EX series, and it will come in 2018 for PS4.

Japanese fighting game developer Arika showed a first impression of their newest, yet untitled project on stage at this past weekend's fighting tournament Evo 2017, and you can see the first in-game footage in the video below, revealing that Arika's EX, as it's known, will be very similar to previous Arika titles.

Mysterious Fighting Game (Title Undecided) is now in development for the PS4 and will have a simultaneous release in North America, Europe and Japan in 2018.

Arika stated that "This game will be the newest entry in the EX Series".

Skullomania isn't the only Street Fighter EX character to star in this new game. So there you have it, a new game based on the EX series, featuring characters from the EX series such as Kairi, Shirase, Garuda, Skullomania and Darunmister., Darunmister fights with a very unusual crotch-thrust-focussed juggle attack, it really needs to be seen to be believed.

At the end of the year there will be a beta test for the game for PlayStation 4 owners. Pre-orders for Japan will be available during the beta test, but details on pre-orders for other regions as well as pre-order bonuses will be announced at a later date.
