One of the main arguments in favor of social-networking companies is that they're poised to grow by taking TV ad dollars.

David Crosby also appears in the ad, asking Chance to perform "any song with real instruments". That probably explains why he tweets at Chance later on in the ad that he can "up [Chance's] game".

"Chance's authentic use of Twitter is powerful as is his fandom and the conversation that surrounds him", said Twitter CMO Leslie Berland.

Twitter revealed a new commercial, and shared it on their own platform.

The ad's goal is to display how Twitter lets you "see what's happening from every point of view, all perspectives, every side", per the app's research.

In addition to the Chance the Rapper spot, Twitter also revealed other new ads (one of which stars former US soccer star Abby Wambach) emphasizing how people use the site to follow sports and the news.
