Above 12 lakh students seeking admission have applied and appeared for the NEET exam. A total of 11,38,890 students registered for this examination including 1522 NRIs, 480 OCIs, 70 PIOs and 613 Foreigners.

The NEET 2017 results will be declared this week. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) got a GO to declare NEET exam result before 26th of this month.

The NEET 2017 results were held up by an order of the Madras High Court after a batch pleas were filed alleging that uniform question papers were not given and there was a big difference between the English and Tamil papers. The results were slated to be released on June 8.

The the official announcement does not talk about the exact time the CBSE can declare the NEET 2017 result any moment by today afternoon. The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court had stayed the declaration of the results. The updates on NEET 2017 Results on cbseneet.nic.in would be available on this page at 3 pm. Students can hurry up to check the details from any of the official portals, cbseresults.nic.in and cbseneet.nic.in. Before that the candidates' OMR sheet and NEET 2017 Official Answer Keys should have been released. The board had announced the result for JEE Main 2017 exam on the same website.

The NEET common entrance examination was initiated in 2013 to replace multiple entrance exams for admissions to undergraduate medical exams such as MBBS and BDS.
