Beyonce's father Mathew Knowles confirms twins are here



Pop diva Beyonce and her rap mogul husband Jay Z have welcomed twins, the USA singer's father tweeted on Sunday, appearing to confirm the arrival of new additions to a music family that already includes five-year-old Blue Ivy.

Beyoncé's father Matthew Knowles has confirmed that the superstar has given birth to twins.

The twins would join big sister, 5-year-old Blue Ivy, who was reportedly spotted at a Los Angeles-area hospital on Thursday with her father, according to E!

Yesterday, a source confirmed to People Magazine, "Bey and Jay are thrilled and have started sharing the news with their family and closest friends".

Beyonce has given birth to her twins, according to reports in USA media.

Amid speculation the twins had been born, Obama joked about the similarities between himself and Jay Z, before implying that the musician was going to have "him beat" when it comes to how many daughters they each have.

She wrote at the time: "We would like to share our love and happiness".

Beyonce still made a number of red carpet appearances while carrying the twins and documented her pregnancy via social media. "We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes - The Carters".

Her mic-drop pregnancy announcement triggered intrigue as it came little more than nine months after her last album Lemonade-in which she strongly hinted that Jay Z was unfaithful. The Carters, " she posted. They married in 2008. While she performed at the Grammys to rave reviews, she postponed plans to headline the Coachella Music Festival until 2018.
