Curbelo last week was one of the first Republicans to call for a congressional Select Committee to investigate Comey's firing and the fallout from alleged Russian meddling in last year's election.

The Comey-Trump meeting came a day after Trump fired Flynn, a retired Army general, for lying to Vice President Mike Pence about his contacts with the Russian ambassador to Washington.

The Washington Post reported that who said Trump's disclosures jeopardized a critical source of intelligence on the terror group as the information the President relayed had been provided by a U.S. partner through an intelligence-sharing arrangement considered so sensitive that details have been withheld from allies and tightly restricted even within the U.S. Government.

A subpoena of the documents and conversations remains a possibility.

James Comey, whose firing as Federal Bureau of Investigation director last week triggered a political firestorm, wrote a memo detailing Trump's comments to him in February saying "I hope you can let this go", referring to the Flynn probe, according to a source who has seen a memo written by Comey.

Today on the floor of the Congress of the United States of America, I will call for the Impeachment of the President between 9am & 10am CST. They had previously asked Comey to testify in closed session this week, but he declined.

"This is very new for me to say it, I've been saying let's let the House and Senate committees work their will", he said on MSNBC Wednesday.

Top Russian lawmakers also have vented frustration and anger over the latest commotion over Trump's relationship with Russia.

Amash's staff declined to comment further.

"I hope you can see your way clear to letting this go, to letting Flynn go", the president told Comey, according to the memo.

Donald Trump gave vent to frustrations over his mounting political problems on Wednesday (May 17), declaring that no president in United States history had been treated "more unfairly".

"It's a position of conscience for me", Green said. "This is about what I believe".

They also asked Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe for "any notes or memorandum" Comey may have written "regarding any communications he may have had with senior White House and Department of Justice officials related to investigations into Russia's efforts". I strongly support these bipartisan actions.

"We'll see how that plays out. It's also important that this does not impact the ongoing investigation into Russian Federation".

Trump allegedly asked Comey to stop his investigation into Flynn. "The president has the utmost respect for our law enforcement agencies, and all investigations".

The White House maintains that the memo is not an accurate portrayal of the conversation between Mr Trump and Mr Comey.

"Congress needs more information, including access to the memos from Director Comey and any recordings or transcripts from the White House".

The ACLU has also called for the appointment of a special prosecutor and the creation of a select congressional committee to investigate the Trump campaign's relationship with Russian Federation.
