Two security men on guard were killed in the attack. "Many have been wounded in what I can call a stampede", the source said. "The other one didn't die but he is wounded", the source said.

Abu Hanifa Babati, the student union government president, confirmed the attacks.

The first attack, he said, "occurred around the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, after the bomber detonated the bomb before being accosted by soldiers".

Three Suicide bombers have been confirmed dead in the early hours of Friday in Maiduguri, Borno while attempting to enter some locations in the University of Maiduguri.

Datti said that the vigilant University's Security and Vigilantes group intercepted the suicide bombers before they could gain entrance into the University premises.

The latest attack comes just five days after a security personnel was killed when suicide bomber detonated his vest in the school.

The other two bombers detonated theirs near a contruction site also within the proximity of the University premises, killing themselves alone.

PRNigeria reports that one of the three suicide bombers carried an AK 47 gun while at least two bombs exploded during the attack. Scene visited by EOD personnel and normalcy restored.
