Fellow comedians attended Charlie Murphy's funeral Wednesday.

Dave Chappelle, George Lopez, Cedric the Entertainer, D.L. Hughley and Eddie Griffin gathered to pay tribute to Murphy's life.

He captioned the touching snap: "Darkness is spreading.Paying last respects to brother Charlie Murphy". He also appeared in the TV series Are We There Yet?, Black Jesus, The Boondocks, and Chappelle's Show, and he hosted his own comedy show, Charlie Murphy's Law, in 2014.

The most popular story turned into a skit was about the late musician Rick James, with whom Charlie had a love-hate relationship, which led to hilarity. "Great night, I've known Mr #davechappelle since he was 18, #billburr I just met tonight #chingonreconizeschingon #charliemurphy #thatswhatsup". "Unforgettable dude. Really sad..."

After his death, Charlier Murphy's family said in a statement to E! Charlie filled our family with love and laughter and there won't be a day that goes by that his presence will not be missed. "We respectfully ask for privacy during this time of great loss for all of us".
