In his report, Carucci's source claims the Bills lineman told officers to "shoot him".

A New York State Trooper found a vehicle belonging to Kouandjio in the area.

Kouandjio was found by police in a field near the scene of an accident that closed down Route 400 for several hours, according to Vic Carucci of The Buffalo News.

A farmer called 911 at about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday to report there was "large man" roaming around one of his fields.

Deputies say Kouandjio was courteous and respectful when they approached him.

Former Alabama star Cyrus Kouandjio was involved in a unusual incident this week, and now his National Football League team is trying to find more answers. Authorities also ran a check of the license plate. "Patrol deputies determined he was Cyrus Kouandjio".

The Bills said they are monitoring Kouandjio's condition and still gathering information.

When the Bills hit their training facility for OTAs on Thursday, Kouandjio was absent.

The statement continues, "We dont' have all the details, so we won't have any further comment at this time".

In January, the team announced he underwent hip surgery after falling inside his home. General manager Doug Whalen hopes he'll start at right tackle for the Bills this season.
