The NFL has determined that the 49ers are not quite ready for prime time. The 49ers' last two seasons began with "Monday Night Football" routs, home victories over Minnesota (20-3) and the Los Angeles Rams (28-0) that inspired false hope of a turnaround under coaches Jim Tomsula and Chip Kelly.

Yesterday the full Carolina Panthers' 2017 regular season schedule was released and there is a lot to like about it, starting with their Week 1 opponents.

Week 1: Sunday, Sept. 10, Carolina Panthers, 4:25 p.m.

Week 2: Sunday, Sept. 17, at Seattle Seahawks, 4:25 p.m.

Week 4: Sunday, Oct. 1, at Arizona Cardinals, 4:05 p.m.

Week 6 - Sunday, October 15 @ Washington Redskins at 1 p.m. The early part of the 2017 National Football League regular season has some tough contests, but the really solid test will come in the middle with three straight road games against the Arizona Cardinals, Indianapolis Colts and Washington Redskins, followed by a home game against the Dallas Cowboys and another road game to the Philadelphia against the Cowboys.

Week 7 - Sunday, October 22 vs. Dallas Cowboys at 1:05 p.m.

Things look much more viable by the end of the year as the 49ers close with Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars at home stadium, followed by a road game to Los Angeles to play the Rams.

Week 8 - Sunday, October 29 @ Philadelphia Eagles at 1:00 p.m.

Week 10 - Sunday, November 12 vs.

Dates of two other games have been leaked: the 49ers will host the New York Giants on November 12, and the Chicago Bears will host the 49ers on December 3, according to the New York Post and Chicago Tribune, respectively.

Week 12 - Sunday, November 26 vs. Seattle Seahawks at 4:05 p.m.

Week 14: Sunday, Dec. 10, at Houston Texans, 1 p.m.
