'Grey's Anatomy' Season 13 Spoilers: Jackson, April Reconnect In Episode 16 Photos

Season 13 episode 16 of Grey's Anatomy will focus exclusively on April and Jackson as they travel all the way to Montana to treat a young patient. "There's a girl who needs a throat transplant, and it's too delicate for her to be moved and brought here, so we go out there", Drew tells EW. He and April pay him a visit, though it's clear Jackson's reluctant to speak with his absentee parent. After all, as "Grey's Anatomy" season 13 episode 16 will also feature Jackson confronting his long-lost father, there is, indeed, a possibility for the ex-couple to go a little personal.

During the hour, Jackson and April head to Montana to treat a patient, but Jackson has ulterior motives - he wants to meet his estranged father. Regardless, the actress said April knew that Jackson cares about his work and his patients. She uses those to persuade him to talk to his father. She really just shows up for him over and over and over again and doesn't need him to show up for her in any way. ABC and the cast dubbed Grey's Anatomy season 13 episode 16 as Japril the Sequel. She, however, said the episode strengthens whatever relationship the two have and they continue to be there for each other.

So, will the sequel offer hope for Japril fans? The co-parenting exes will travel together to Montana in "Who is He (And What Is He To You)?" to tackle a hard case. They're forced to be in the same space working together with no distraction outside of the norm ...

Sarah Drew said that this "Grey's Anatomy" #Japril episode is totally different because it will focus on Jackson, Entertainment Weekly reported. So often in our history together, April has been the one to spin out of control, and Jackson's been the one to try to pull her back and ground her. "It's a pretty neat opportunity to see another dynamic between the two of them. I love it, because it's an opportunity for April to really show up for him in a way I don't think she has for him before".

Tune in to "Grey's Anatomy" Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
