When And Where To Watch 'The Good Fight' Premiere And Weekly Episodes

One episode was provided prior to broadcast.

CBS's The Good Wife spinoff The Good Fight (Sunday, 8 ET/PT, *** 1/2 out of four) is not merely the best of CBS's less-than-bumper crop of current dramas; it's the best hour CBS has aired since, well, The Good Wife.

Even in a cast as rich and sharp as The Good Fight (and that's one that also includes Erica Tazel, Sarah Steele, Justin Bartha and others), Rose Leslie submits her case for why she's one of the more compelling rising stars in television, coming off her role as Ygritte in HBO's Game of Thrones.

Picking up a year after that infamous Good Wife series finale slap, The Good Fight centers on an enormous financial scam that has destroyed the reputation of budding lawyer Maia Rindell (Rose Leslie) while simultaneously wiping out the hard-earned savings of her mentor and godmother, Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski). The first episode showcases Diane's frustration towards life, career and her trying to bring back a stable balance to life. Her life is now in more uncertain terms than ever after the turmoil of a Ponzi scheme that took much of Diane's fortune.

Diane and Marissa are seen joining Lucca at one of Chicago's pre-eminent law firms.

Fans can watch episode two of The Good Fight on CBS All Access now and catch all-new episodes every Sunday on the streaming service.

How can I watch "The Good Wife" before I watch "The Good Fight"? It's a small, but somewhat resonant cause to get behind, but rather than fight the very injustice itself, he begins his plea content with asking just for the fair amount of garnished wages that was agreed upon, nothing more.

CBS hasn't released too many details about upcoming episodes of "The Good Fight", but we know that the second installment is entitled "First Week", and the title largely speaks for itself - you're going to be getting some chances to see how Diane and Maia get adjusted to their new reality - which is probably not going to be a flawless situation by any means.

Where will "The Good Fight" air?

Rounding out our trifecta of tremendous women is Jumbo's Lucca, whom fans will remember as Alicia's friend-turned-partner in the final season of The Good Wife. The show follows her return to work and attempts to rebuild, incorporating some familiar faces along the way.

That's not to say The Good Fight is yet a political show. The relationships are carried by a balanced script, not an agenda or set of marching orders.
